In the US Carmel Pharma operates through a subsidiary, Carmel Pharma, Inc. 2008 some 1000 hospitals, including a number of the major cancer centres in the US, use PhaSeal on a routine basis when handling cytostatics.
In the EU, Carmel Pharma operates in the majority of countries through co-operation agreements with companies in the pharmaceutical and medical technology sectors.
As an increasing number of studies have shown that personnel handling cytostatics and certain antibiotics risk injury to their health, interest in PhaSeal has increased throughout the world. As a result of this, Carmel Pharma has gained a growing number of customers in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
